On Thursday, 23 February, VCE 秘色传媒 students attended the performance of Nosferatu at the Malthouse Theatre. Written by Australian playwright, Keziah Warner and directed by Bridget Balodis, the story is based on the 1922 gothic horror silent film, Nosferatu. It was a chilling theatre experience with creative and symbolic use of theatre technologies, real moments of sheer terror but with welcomed moments of satire and comic relief. This production is part of the 2023 VCAA playlist and will see 秘色传媒 students share in thoughtful analysis and evaluation of the various themes, production areas, dramatic elements and performance skills.
