Year 9 students recently visited the Monash Nova Rover workshop at Monash University under the guidance of ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ alumna, Rebecca Leith (ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ of 2017). Using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software, students designed and 3D printed wheels for their mini rovers. After assembling their mini rovers, students competed with each other in a series of challenges.

The whole Year 9 cohort also had the opportunity to hear from the Nova Rover team present their program on different aspects of engineering and design that go into creating a successful rover. A fantastic learning experience for our students who showed a high level of engagement and interest all day.

A big thank you to the Nova Rovers for your time, no doubt inspiring a few future engineers!
