During this morning's College Assembly, the FIRE Carriers and Respectful Relationships student ambassadors spoke about ÃØÉ«´«Ã½â€™s commitment towards Reconciliation and Respectful Relationships, with a particular focus on student voice. ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ Captains had the opportunity to formally present ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ alumna, Dr Lisa Higgins (ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ of 1993), the 2022 Dr Ursula McKenna (ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ of 1948) Award. Each year, the Award recognises an alumna with excellence in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The Assembly also included a presentation of 'The ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ Story' by Director of Development and Community Relations, Tracey Grobbelaar, and College Archivist, Marian Jenkinson; a recap of Semester 1 highlights and upcoming exciting events by various student leaders; and a special performance of 'Soul Man' by the College Stage Band.
We concluded the morning by singing the ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ school song, Hymn to St Catherine. What a wonderful way to end the school week.
