Earlier this year, our Year 7 Geography students had the opportunity to prepare entries for the . Three ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ students, Emily S, Alana C and Isla J entered the competition and out of over eight hundred entries received, we are delighted to announce that Emily has been selected as the state winner of the MapIT! 2022 competition.
On Wednesday 30 November, the Geography Teachers' Association of Victoria Inc (GTAV) organised a surprise certificate and prize presentation at ÃØÉ«´«Ã½ College to congratulate Emily. We were joined by Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and GTAV representatives on this special occasion.

"In this competition, Year 7 students from all around Victoria submitted entries which consisted of a map displaying improvements to the local government area, as well as responses to a series of questions relating to map. The area my map covered was central to Wattle Park and I proposed a total of nine improvements:
